Mountains are a treasure that must be protected with all our might. About 15 percent of the world's population lives in the mountains. The water that flows from the mountains provides 50 percent of the population with clean water. 50 percent of the world's biodiversity of flora and fauna can be found in the mountains.

But the mountains are increasingly under threat from climate change, overexploitation and pollution.

Therefore, today is not only a holiday for those who cannot live without mountains, who constantly strive upward to new heights, but also for those who carefully preserve mountain ecosystems, so that in the future all of us and our children can feel the joy and peace that the mountains give us.
