In preparation for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, in order to attract attention to the historical, natural and cultural heritage of the native land, to reflect the life of the republic through photography, a photo contest "Where does my homeland begin?" was held.

On December 25, 2020, the National Museum of the KBR hosted the opening of an exhibition, which presented the competition works of the winners and participants of the photo contest "Where does my homeland begin?", as well as a solemn award ceremony and a festive concert with the participation of artists of Kabardino-Balkaria.

In total, about two hundred diverse interesting works were submitted to the competition dedicated. Photos of the winners of the competition can be seen not only as part of the exposition, but also directly in front of the entrance to the museum. This move allowed to attract the attention of residents and guests of the city and introduce them to the most striking works.

In front of the National Museum of the KBR, the Musical Theatre of the KBR and the State Concert Hall, the Ministry of Culture of the KBR organized an open-air exhibition of works by the winners of the republican photography competition “Where does my homeland begin?”
